Common questions
How many HEIC files can I convert at once?
There's no hard limit set by the site, but very large batches (several hundred high-resolution photos at once) are limited by your device's available memory, since conversion happens in your browser rather than on a server.
Why does it convert files one at a time instead of all at once?
Decoding a HEIC photo is memory-intensive. Converting many large images in parallel can exhaust your browser tab's available memory and crash it, so files are processed one after another instead.
Can I download all my converted photos at once?
Yes. Once two or more files finish converting, a "Download all as .zip" button appears, bundling every converted file into a single download.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens locally in your browser tab using WebAssembly, one file at a time. Nothing is sent to a server.
